Q: Can Artists/Bands really join for Free?
A: YES... Their first year is Free... this is IMM proving we have your back. We want to prove to you that you can trust us and that we can deliver... before you pay us.
However... because we are membership financed and could really use the help... we do ask (if you can) that you pay for your first year, and if you do... your band gets "Platinum Member" status so you qualify for the Special "Platinum Member" Draws and Giveaways? Q: As a Working Musician... should I get my own MVS (musician/vocalist/songwriter) membership?
A: YES, ABSOLUTELY... for several reasons... to get your own account (separate from the band) to make your own private permanent income... Also, to be able to link (Associate) your MVS Page to your Band or any other bands you may be or have been in... so that you show up under "Members" on those Bands Profile Pages... and... to give you the freedom to move from band to band and still keep your own (constantly growing) private account, income and pension... it's called, "Taking care of your future & Family".
IMM was built specifically for Fans and Musicians... these are the very memberships you make your money on... bands and businesses sign up with IMM... it's the Fans and Musicians that IMM pays you for. Remember everyone who joins with you, works for you.... do the math, it gets rather large.
Q: What do I do if I accidentally log off the IMM page when signing up?
A: Just go to IMM and log back in using the "Email" and "Password" you originally used to Register with... you can pickup right where you left off.
Q: Do the members really own IMM?
A: In Reality Yes... the membership takes home 20% of the gross revenue on signups and 10% of the gross revenue on renewals... making them the largest shareholder of the sites profits in the form of commissions. It's like being a partner at a law firm... the more business you bring in the more you get paid every year (remember in this law firm, your clients work for you too)... also... 100% of the money spent on music or comedy goes directly to the Artist being supported, you guys are doing business directly with each other in the kitchen.
Yeah... I'd say you own the house alright... that's why we built it this way... we wanted a site that was owned by it's members and this was the only way we could do it... so yes it's theirs or should I say yours?... We here at IMM just work for you guys... we keep the furnace running and the lights on.
Q: Can I change my email address that I used to signup with.
A: Because your email address is what we use for securing your site page... we did not make it changeable... but, due to reasons we did not forsee we now feel that this is an option we need to address.
At this time we are having our code writers add this function to the site. When you no longer see this message, it will be complete and functioning... you will also know when it is functional by checking your Dashboards... "Manage Profile Information" - "Manage Account Information" section... under your email address... if you see a "Change Email Address" button... then the function has been activated... be aware... there might be a fee for changing email addresses.
This is why we highly recommend that you use (for IMM) a large server email address that you cannot lose or forget... this way you'll never have to change it, it is unique to your room (page) on the IMM site.
Q: Does every penny of what I spend on music on IMM, really go to the artist?
A: Yes it most certainly does. There is no middle man, it goes directly into their account. Just ask an artist.
Q: Can we really make purchases without paying Transaction or Handling fees?
A: Yes you can... That's why we give each paid member an onsite account (Wallet). You can make purchases directly from this account avoiding Transaction and Handling Fees. This is where all your Commissions, Sales, and Donations go.
Q: Is my money safe on IMM?
A: Yes... all the Wallet money is held in a special Account by the Royal Bank of Canada... not even IMM can touch it.
Q: Does everybody I signup really work for me?
A: Absolutely... you bring us members and IMM PAYS YOU a commission, both on signup and every time they renew... IMM also pays you a second commission for each Member that one of your Members signs up... both on Signup and Renewal (see "Make Money").
We look at it this way... If you signup someone who makes IMM (and themselves) thousands of dollars... and you only get a single commission for finding and signing that person up... would you think that fair? Of course not, I didn't think so... and we don't either... that's why we pay you a commission for each of their customers. It's well worth it to IMM for the business... thank you... it's your paycheck... and it's this second commission that allows the Artists to make a living, not to mention you.. and it all comes from IMM's profits from renting this amazing platform... not one penny comes from the sale of music.
Q: Can you really make a lot of money doing this?
A: You tell me... if you applied yourself and signed up 1000 Fans and each of them only signed up 10 members... with our smallest (Fan) renewal commission at CDN $1.30... you'd have USD $14,300.00 coming in every year... now imagine if they sign up 20 or 30? This is a permanent income and you don't have to do another thing... your signups will do the work for you... imagine if they all went for 1000 members too???
Q: Is my membership tax deductable?
A: Yes it is...because on IMM, you advertise and promote yourself and earn money (check your countrys' tax laws) IMM is a business expense.
Q: Do I have to pay tax on the money I earn on IMM?
A: Yes you do, but only if you withdraw it from your Onsite Account. (again, check your countrys' tax laws)
Q: Why do you pay commissions?
A: It is the only way to give the Artists a steady paycheck and a pension... and the Fans (Public)... money to buy Tickets, Shirts, Albums, and Tracks with and help pay the bills... and it all comes from all of us... meaning, we are paying ourselves.
Q: Can we make deposits and withdrawals from our Onsite Account?
A: Yes you can... There is a Transaction fee charged by Stripe (our gateway provider) for deposits, but IMM DOES NOT charge Handling Fees for deposits or withdawals. You may withdraw money anytime you wish. You will find a green "Withdrawal" button at the top of your Wallet page.
Q: Can I use the money I spent to join as a "Fan" to upgrade to another membership?
A: No you cannot. This is why we ask you to make sure you have the right plan before joining. Only a "Free Member" can upgrade to another plan.
