Obviously we don't have to pay commissions... we have a site well worth the fee. Then Why?... Because it's the right thing to do.
With all the billions in music sales... there is plenty to go around... if you structure it right.
There is no reason the Artists & Fans can't share in the spoils too. IMM is proof of that.

This is simpler than you might think.
Quite often bands go through multiple personel changes throughout their existence and arguments on who is owed what, and when, can ensue.
There is a simple solution to this....
Just go to Commission History... Select the Date you started with the Band (From) and the Date you left the Band (To)... this will show all the signups for the time you were in the band.
EG: "All Things Being Equal"... If there are 4 members in the band... you would be owed 1/4 of the Renewal Commission money for those signups every year.
This data is always there for review or release with any court order... or legal request.
The Band of course, can have it's own contracts with it's members on who gets paid what and when.
This is another reason why Every Individual Musician should also have an MVS membership... for their own Private Income and Pension.
Remember though... in the eyes of the law... the absence of any such contracts or agreements means... "All Things are Equal".

Lets get to "Making Money".... but first, lets talk about "Pricing" and "Searching"...
Here at IMM... We ARE the Fans and the Artists and we are setting a new standard.
The industry has conditioned Artists and Fans to set the price of a Track at about a dollar or $0.99... or an Album at $10 or less.
The Labels and Streaming sites do not call the shots here... we do... the Fans and the Artists.
Pricing your Tracks or Albums that cheap says just that... it's cheap and therefore, not very good... if I see an Album priced at less than $10... I'm probably not even gonna give it a listen.
EG: When a member sees a really cheap price, they are far less likely to even look... Just like my friend Ian... he's a great painter that charged $15/hr, thinking he would get more work... he didn't... they just thought he was a lousy painter... when he doubled his price, he couldn't keep up with the work... all because he was charging a fair price... so they knew they were getting quality work.
Fans DO NOT buy Tracks or Albums they do not like... price has nothing to do with it... you are not going to get more sales by underpricing your Tracks or Albums... you will just reduce the amount of listens, which results in less sales.
If somebody likes the Track or Album, they will pay $2.00 as quick as $0.99... or, for an Album... $15 as quick as $7 or $9.99.
I'd much rather pay $15/Album of my Referral money knowing that it is "ALL" going to the Artist... than $7 of my hard earned money using my Credit Card or Debit Card with Transaction and Handling fees... where a large chunk of the money is being taken by someone else.
Music is the best buy in the world... I get a Track that I will enjoy the rest of my life and play thousands of times... for around $2.00... what a deal.
On IMM... we have agreed that a pricing structure was needed, so as not to have the Artists undercutting each other... and if we are going to be running our own site, we Artists and Fans have got to get together on this.
IMM has set a minimum of $0.50/minute (up to 5 min) for Tracks... and a minimum of $10.00/Album... this is so the Artists cannot undercut each other and more importantly... it is a "more than fair" price for music. (Read Terms & Conditions)
IMM is sure that you as Fans agree... besides, with our Profit Sharing Referral System... IMM is paying for your purchases anyway.
If you feel that this pricing is still pretty low... feel free to give the Artist a donation using their "Donate" button on their Profile Page.
This is just another way that we all support our Artists.

Recommendations...
IMM recommends that you add the $0.25 when a Track passes the 30 sec. mark... but that is entirely up to you... above the 5 minute mark you may increase the price as you wish.. or not.
IMM recommends that you price your Album somewhere between 10% to 30% less than the combined price of it's Tracks.

Our "Super Search" allows members to search for "what they like" as well as "what and who they know"... truly giving you access to ALL Artists and Bands (providing they are on IMM).
By restricting the Fans to very limited search parameters... the Labels are placing themselves squarely between the Artists and the Fans... ensuring that you only get to see their Artists. Meaning you only get to eat what they put on your plate. They DO NOT want you to have access to the millions of other Artists because they DO NOT want you spending your money with anyone but their Artists... this is how they keep control.
Searching hundreds of millions of Artists and Bands with a handful of Label employees is Not Practical Nor Possible and guarantees Failure.
This is why the Labels run at a 90% Failure Rate... WOW!
ONLY the Fans know for sure... how do you search millions of Artists and Bands?... with millions of Fans... and now, with IMM's Super Search... it's easy.
When us Fans start searching out us Artists... we create Data (which we own) that tells what certain demographics are looking for and when... and then we sell access to that Data to the big boys.
As long as we stick together on IMM, this is the only place that that Data can be made... and it belongs to us, this membership... and IMM splits that revenue with the membership... this means that just by being a member and using the site, we are making money for ourselves.
Also, by creating our own Data Stream and creating our own Bank that lends us money and pays us a pension and dividends... we become strong and self sustaining (see "About").
Also with the "Supersearch" the "Fans" now decide who is Great... the Labels just need to read the data... and now the Fan can find you and buy directly from you without having to settle for just what the labels are pushing.
This same inability to search out Artists and Bands is what is causing this... 82% of all the music on streaming sites world wide gets less than 1000 streams/yr and 43% doesn't get streamed at all... this is not an accident... it is a direct result of them keeping the Fans from the Artists... by only allowing you to search out those Artists that you have already heard of... their Artists.
It's time the Fans told the Labels... we want to pay our Artists, all Artists... and we want to be able to find them.
At IMM we do not want to lock you in a barn... we want to FREE YOU!.. and that is exactly what we are doing... we are unlocking the Barns and letting the Fans and Artists out to mingle.

Here at IMM we realized the Artists and Fans NEED TO GET PAID... if neither has any money, how are they to do business?
As there is no money left in music sales (too many people have their hands in your pockets) we chose to give our membership a big chunk of IMM's profits... making you all partners in IMM... and the only way we could do that... is with Referral Commissions...
The Fans and the Artists need a new revenue stream... and the only way to do that... was for them to share in the profits of the very site that they use to buy and sell with each other.
Here at IMM we realized that even if we provide you with a way to find unknown and unpromoted Artists...which we do... and even if we give the Artists 100% back... which we do... it still DOES NOT change things the way they need to be changed... you still have to pay all the people with their hands in your pockets... add to that... the Fans have little money to spare and you have no money to record with... the future looks bleak.... YOU BOTH NEED TO MAKE MONEY!
This is why we came up with our new kind of Referral System... it's not really new... Telus, Amazon, Kirby, Mary Kay... etc. the list goes on, all use commission systems to pay their customers for bringing in new members or for selling their wares... but, here at IMM, we pay 4 commissions (this is new)... 2 on signup (you receive 1 for each new member that signs up with you... and another for each new member that signs up with them)... and again on Renewals.

Here at IMM, we pay much larger commissions both on signup and renewals... so, with our system... you can make a huge yearly income... especially for the Artists/Bands... with audiences in front of you... it's easy to bring in new customers.
Because this "New Referral Income" comes from so many sources, it is stable.
All the membership money is held by the Royal Bank of Canada (you may withdraw at anytime) in one big account, meaning... by pooling our resources... we are building "Our Own Bank" of the Fans & Artists.
As all this money earns interest, your bank grows and eventually will be able to lend you money when you need it (based on your Referral Commissions), give you cut rate Insurance, Mortgages, and (eventually) pay you dividends (depending on your average yearly balance)... how's that for working for ourselves?
FYI: IMM cannot touch this money... it is yours... all the money in the members on site accounts... is safe in the Royal Bank of Canada.
The "Signup Referral Commissions" are earnings for finding us new members... the Renewal Commissions are a gift from IMM (the membership) to provide you with a pension for all the hard work you do... if you break the rules (see "Terms & Conditions") you can lose your membership and therefore your renewal commissions... but you cannot lose what is in your Onsite Account (Wallet)... any money in your Wallet is yours... unless the account is found to be fraudulent or illegal... eg: a fake Artist selling stolen tracks or albums.
Right now, for the Artists/Bands there are 3 ways to make money on IMM... Referral Commissions, Sales, and Advertising (see below)... for the Fans... Advertising and Referral Commissions.
We have more coming... Streaming, Merchandising, more Advertising options... etc... as we all join, our membership fees pay for these add ons.
No other music site in the world pays it's members like we do... actually, it would be more accurate to call our members "Owners" as they are getting almost half of the sites profits (20% of the Gross income at signup and 10% of the Gross income on Renewals)... making our membership our largest shareholders.
This is YOUR site... it belongs to you... the Artists and Fans... you're all in the same house... on IMM you are dealing directly with each other... there is NO MIDDLE MAN... this all works off of an internal banking system... and remember... at IMM you can also make purchases WITHOUT having to pay Transaction Fees or Handling Fees.

We came up with the idea (not a new one), instead of us paying millions in advertising... we pay you (our membership) 20% (off the top) of the signup fees of all individual members (Fans & MVS)... but even this was "NOT ENOUGH".
So... we split the 20% into two Referral Commissions (we pay you 10% of the signup fee of anyone you signup... and another 10% for those that they signup)... so that you could also benefit from the work of the members that you signed up... but even this was "NOT ENOUGH" to make a difference in your lives.

FYI: If you attempt to send out your IMM Ad using another persons computer or phone... it will post on their social media, but it will still reflect your code. Obtain permission first.
Although all Businesses and Bands-Artists-Comedians must signup with IMM... every member or owner will want their own Personal Page to earn a personal income... we ask that all members of the Bands, Individual Musicians, and Fans, sign up with the member that introduced them to IMM.
Band members or musical people will want to signup in the MVS category (Musicians/Vocalists/Songwriters)... All others... you will need a Fan membership... these are the members you signup to earn commissions.
There are even more options than the internet for people to signup with you...
Using your "Cell Phone"... you can signup people on the spot for "Free" (if you signup a Free Member, your code is still attached to them for when they do get a paid membership)... Open your IMM Personal Profile Page, then click on your own "Signup Button" to access the "Registration Form"... next... have your prospective new member open their email account so they can "Activate" and "Verify" (two emails) their new account... you can sign people up at Concerts, Clubs, Events... or any place you happen to be... everyone loves music and wants to help support the Artists and everyone could use extra money. All you need is your phone.
You will find the square QR Code box at the bottom of ALL members "Info" sections on their Profile Pages.
Just scan this code with your phone (camera) from any other members phone or tablet and it will transfer (to your phone) a display of that members Name and Referral Code and also give you a link to that members page or their Registration Form to signup with them or you... depending who is showing it.
This is great for signing people up... even Free Members (remember, your code is attached to them as well).

This is where a record of all your commissions, donations, sales and purchases are kept... you can withdraw your money into your personal bank account any time you wish... but be aware, when withdrawing or depositing money... you will be subject to Transaction Fees because it is an outside transaction... Stripe (the gateway company) that handles internet transactions charges $0.30 + 2.9% on all Domestic (Canadian) transactions... and $0.30 + $3.7% for all international card transactions.
No Fees... if you use your Wallet to make purchases with... there is NO Transaction or Handling Fees.
Also, your Wallet will hold the amount equal to your renewal fee (only from commission money) so your site will auto-renew when your year is up... you can only withdraw the renewal fee if you cancel your membership.
FYI: Because all paid members can earn money on IMM... your membership fee is Tax deductable as a business expense (see "Taxes" below).

Referral Code & Social Media...
Each paid member receives a Referral Code... each "Referral Code" is displayed prominently on each paid members "Profile Page" (Blue button)... there is also a "Referral Code" section in your "Dashboard" (Control Centre) for sending out an IMM ad on your social media... just click on the Social Media Icon to send out the ad... and the site will send the ad to your personal social media account... your referral code is embedded in that ad... when someone clicks on the ad... comes to IMM and joins... your referral code will automatically be inserted into the Referral Code window on their Payment Page and you get paid your commission (see "Commissions" below).
If they choose a "Free Membership", don't worry... your referral code is still attached to their membership and when they do upgrade (and they will) to a paid membership... you'll get the commission.
If you use a link to find IMM and then you decide to log off and come back later and join... we ask that you use that same link to return... this way, the member that referred you, will get their commission.... you would want the same for yourself.

Fans and MVS (individual Musicians, Vocalists and Songwriters)... basically everyone, even band members (these are personal-individual memberships)... MUST signup with another member... any member (except Past Artists or Superstars). If you don't want to choose... the site will do it for you... just go ahead and Join.
When approaching Artists/Bands or Businesses... you can signup the individual members or owners to a Fan or MVS membership (they will need one)... but...
Artists-Bands-Comedians, Businesses, Labels & Agents... MUST signup directly with IMM... don't worry if you clicked on another members Signup Button or used a link... the site will do it automatically. FYI: There is a Discount Code for you to type in for your 10% off... right there on the Payment Page... (see "Memberships" for more info).
Auto Select... If you join without clicking on another members "Signup Button" or by entering another members Referral Code from their Profile Page, or by using an IMM link... the site will automatically insert another members code from either Artists-Bands-Comedians, Fans, or MVS memberships... when this happens you will see a little message under the window that says... "Congratulations, you just received 10% off your membership fee".
Over Write... If you have another members Referral Code (on a Business Card or other)... just highlight and overwrite the Referral Code in the window and click on "Apply".
You can also go to the site and copy another members Code and Paste it into the window... but we ask that if you came to IMM via a link or have a card... use it... you would want the same for yourself.
On Signup... IMM pays out 20% of the signup fee (10% to you and 10% to the member you signed up with)... this is a contract, you earned it.
On Renewal... IMM pays out 10% of the renewal fee (5% to you and 5% to the member you signed up with). This is a gift from IMM... you can lose it if you break the rules (see "Terms & Conditions").
FYI: Any money placed into your "Onsite Account" (Wallet)... is yours, it cannot be taken by IMM. Your "Wallet" is your private bank account.
Allowing for the 10% Off when joining IMM...
When an "MVS" signs up with you for................. $36/yr - 10% = $32.40... you'll get $3.24 (10% of $32.40) on signup and another $1.80 (5% of $36) every time they renew.
When a "Fan" signs up with you for..................... $26/yr - 10% = $23.40... you'll get $2.34 (10% of $23.40) on signup and another $1.30 (5% of $26) every time they renew.
Remember... you also get these same commissions from each of the members that your members sign up... imagine if you signed up 1000 members (it's easier than you think) and each one of them only signed up 10 or 20 or 30... you get the idea... for Artists/Bands... you have a mic and a crowd in front of you... need I say more?
These commissions can increase significantly (up to $25.00) with the price of a membership (see "Larger Commissions" below).
All commissions are automatically deposited into your "Onsite Account" (Wallet)... but because of Stripe (Gateway Providers) there is a 7 day processing period before you can withdraw them

The Commissions are the profits of IMM redistributed back into the membership... making this site Membership Owned... how much you own is up to you.
This is accumulative and designed to pay you FOREVER... this is us Artists and Fans taking care of our own... working TOGETHER for a better future.

EG: Lets say you signed up 1000 members (not so hard to do) and each of them only signed up 10 new members.
Now lets say all of them are the lowest cost member "Fans".
If you signed up 1000 Fans with a signup commission of $2.34 (10% of $23.40)............................................................. = $2,340.00
Now lets say they signup JUST 10 new members each, that's 10,000 members @ $2.34 each.......................................= $23,400.00
Now that's 11,000 Fan members... so... IMM pays you $1.30 (5% of $26.00) for each renewal (every year)............ .....= $14,300.00/yr
If all the members were MVS (Musicians/Vocalists/Songwriters) the renewals for 11,000 of them would be..........= $19,800.00/yr
So, your yearly income would be somewhere between those 2 numbers.
But wait... what if your members sign up 20 each or 30 or 40???... What would your yearly income be then?
Now... lets talk about "Larger Commissions" due to higher membership fees for those who do well... OMG.
Because these Referral Commissions come from so many, it is a... PERMANENT STABLE INCOME!

Commissions can become much larger if any of your members become high earners and are subject to our higher membership fees.
If any of your members earn more than $5,000/yr... their membership would rise to $100/yr...then your renewal commissions (using a Fan Membership as an example) would go from $1.30 up to $5.00... and another $5.00 for every extra $5K earned/yr... all the way up to $25K with a commission of $25.00. That's a jump in your commissions of almost 20 times... (see "Breakdown" below).
You can definitely make a living on IMM... because, that's exactly what IMM was built to do... pay the Artists and Fans.
FYI: 20% on signup and 10% on renewal may not sound like a lot... but it is... It is coming off the top of IMM's company earnings... think about it... with 50% going to the build and running the site and some 20% in taxes to the government... all of a sudden, the membership is bringing in quite a big chunk of IMM's company profits... we're figuring somewhere between 30 to 50%... that makes YOU the members... the largest shareholders... and it comes to you immediately and off the top.

If a member earns more than $5000.00 in commissions in a year... then their membership goes up to $100/yr... payable at the end of the second year... let me explain how this works...
When a member joins IMM and starts making commissions... the Wallet will freeze (or Cap) the amount of the members renewal fee (using only commission money) so the membership will renew itself automatically.
If your commission money does not exceed the renewal fee then no funds are frozen and you will have to manually renew when it is time to do so.
EG: If an Artist/Band joins for $60... then for the first year... the Wallet has a freeze cap of $60 (commission money only)... this is your Renewal Fee at the end of the first year regardless of how much you have made in your first year with IMM.
Lets say you clear $5000.00 in your first year... then the Freeze Cap for your second year is $100 (commission money only) payable at the beginning of the Third year... but you still only pay $60 at the beginning of the Second year.
Memberships go up by $100 for every $5000 earned in a single year... topping at $500/yr ($25,000.00)... after that you can earn as much as you like without any more membership price increases.
This means that when one of your members passes these milestones... your commissions go up too...
EG: A $100 membership fee = a renewal commission of $5.00... topping out at a $25.00 commission for a $500/yr membership... you can figure the rest out.

There are 2 Bonus Buttons on IMM.
Both are found in the the Dashboard... one in "Manage Tracks", and one in "Manage Albums".
In your Dashboard Menu... "Manage Tracks"... you will see "Bonus" on the blue bar... under which you will see an "On/Off Button" beside each Track you have listed. (If it is Blue, it is on... If it is Grey it is off).
By clicking this button "On" you allow the site to randomly give that song away to new members when they join... and again when members renew their memberships, (the site randomly picks and gives away 15 bonus button songs, from 15 different artists).
We call this... "Fishing for Fans". We recommend that you flag your best song(s)... they will ONLY be chosen once in a while, but it is a great way to attract new fans to your page.
If you check in your "My Music" file, you will see your free bonus tracks under "Bonus Music".
In your Dashboard Menu... "Manage Albums"... you will see "Bonus" on the blue bar... under which you will see another "On/Off Button" (the same as the one in Manage Tracks) this one is also beside each Album you have listed. (If it is Blue, it is on... If it is Grey it is off). You may only turn this button on for one album.
By clicking this button "On" (you may only select one Album) you allow the site to give that Album away to anyone who uses your Referral Code to join IMM.
This will allow you to make an incredible amount of money off of just one Album given to just one Fan.
EG: You tell your audience (or anyone for that matter) about IMM and let them know that if they signup with you or your Band they will get 15 Free tracks from 15 different Artists (hand picked by the Artists themselves as their best) and 10% off their first year membership... and... your new Album will be waiting for them in their "My Music" file absolutely FREE.
For Cover Bands that aren't selling music... you could record the evenings performance and load it up as an album... Fans would just love a recording of a performance they were actually at... it's a great motivation to sign up with you. Ask for the signup! Ask them to help you to record your Album. They won't join if you don't ask.
Now think about it... you just gave an Album away to a Fan for free, or did you? you got $2.34 plus another $1.30 each time they renew...your getting paid alright...it may take a while but you are getting paid every year... but wait... what about all the commissions coming from all the people that that Fan signs up? You just gave away an album that is continuing to make you money while you sleep, year after year. Then there is the Larger Commissions... Now that's what I am talking about... perpetual payments.

It's one thing to have the ability and tools to make money... it's quite another to use them.
Below, we are going to touch on a few ideas that might work to help you achieve your goals.
Empower Your Audience...
You have the audience right there in front of you... you have the mic... let them know that they too can be owners of IMM... that they can make lots of money by helping the Artists.
Tell them that when they join IMM, they no longer have to pay Transaction or Handling Fees when buying music.
Tell them that on IMM every penny they spend on music goes directly to the Artists... that they now have access to all Artists with the Super Search... tell them that for the first time in the history of music..they now have the tools to search out and find new artists and prove it was them who found them first.
Tell the audience they'll never have to pay for music or Spotify or groceries, beer, etc... again (their commissions will).
How much you make will all depend on how well you motivate your audience... and don't let them leave without one of your business cards with your referral code on it. You could even print your code on the ticket itself... or get a stage stand for the site name and your code on it... they can take a picture of it.
Your imagination is the limit.

Other than the Internet or Commercial Advertising... Business Cards are the next best way to go... you can just hand them to people or put them on tables or windshields... they are inexpensive , quick and require minimal explanation (see our "IMM Vista Print Discount Store Link" below).... but I would use a quick sales pitch to motivate your new member... EG: "This will pay for your Spotify for life, check it out"... or "Want a full or part time job promoting Artists?... or "All your money goes directly to the Artists"... etc... your imagination is the limit. Business Cards are essential.

Back to Business Cards...
You want to make sure everyone gets one of your Bands Referral Code IMM business cards... have a friend or your band members hand them out at shows you do... it's a cheap and easy way to make sure your Fans take home your Referral Code.
Post your profile page QR code around the venue you are playing at, with the QR Code, Site Name and your Band Name... and then tell the audience what they are for. For the cost... this is a must.
You should always have some QR Code posters (reuseable laminated) and a pocket full of cards on the ready.
The Fans might not have enough money to buy a CD or a Tee Shirt, but, if it means getting something for free or making easy money, they'll take that card home...and use it.
Maybe even put up a banner on the stage... with the site address and your referral code(s) on it... for them to take a picture of.
Your imagination is the limit.
You have the Mic... you have the audience in front of you... tell them there is a new music site that belongs to them, built by them, thank them for it and tell them that 100% of their money goes to the Band, that they get 15 artist picked tracks and 10% off if they sign up with you... you could even give them a free Album for signing up with you (See Bonus Button in Manage Albums in your Dashboard). Tell them they can make money with you... that there are no transaction or handling fees....etc.
The better you motivate them... the more money they will make you.

IMM memberships are TAX DEDUCTABLE as a business expense.
Because IMM is an international site... as long as your money stays on IMM... we do not think it is taxable or considered income until you withdraw it.
Check with your country's tax laws.
Your commissions and earnings will most likely be considered income once withdrawn and you may be required to pay taxes on them.
If you only take out enough money to pay for Traveling expenses, New Instruments, Recording...etc... you can write that off too.
If you are only allowed to earn so much before the government takes from you... just withdraw the allowed amount until your IMM earnings outstrip your check.

Each paid membership (including Fans) comes with an "Onsite Account" (Wallet)...for making purchases without using a Credit or Debit Card... for receiving Commissions, making or receiving Donations, Sales, and keeping track of purchases.
If you are going to use a Credit Card or a Debit Card to make purchases (Free Members have to), the standard transaction fees charged by Stripe (which we use) are $0.30 + 2.9% per transaction.
Please allow Stripe a week to process Credit Card payments.
IMM charges a 10% Handling Fee per transaction for all Free Members purchases..
IMM charges a 5% Handling Fee for all Paid Members when they use a Credit or Debit Card to make purchases.
When YOU make deposits or withdrawals into or out of your Wallet... using a Credit Card or Debit Card... ONLY Stripe Transaction Fees apply... IMM DOES NOT charge fees for withdrawals or deposits into or out of the Wallet.

At IMM, you can avoid Transaction and Handling fees altogether, by using your Onsite Account ("Wallet") to make purchases internally. These are instant.

Stripe has a policy that charges any members outside of Canada (International transaction) an additional "0.8% International Card Fee" (in addition to 2.9%) when joining IMM or when making deposits or withdrawals to their Onsite Account (Wallet)... This is why we recommend you use your Onsite Account (Wallet) to make purchases. This way there are no Gateway charges at all.
